Current Bath Spa KTPs
Since 2006, the centre of expertise for geotechnologies at Bath Spa University has partnered with Getmapping LLP in a KTP to produce an enhanced digital elevation model of the United Kingdom using digital photogrammetry and novel image matching algorithms.
The Associate has been working with Getmapping to produce 3D models of the UK, evaluate various methods and types of software and find the most cost effective method for maintaining a very high level of accuracy. This will have potential uses for flood management, homeland security and integration with next generation GPS navigation units.
