New Short Course - Science, Climate & Economics for a General Audience

Science meets the Arts, as the Creative Writing experts in Bath Spa University's School for Humanities & Cultural Industries launch a new short course for professional experts, to be run in July 2010.
Over the four days of the course, 10 delegates will undertake the following activities:
- Plan a 1,200 word piece for a general audience, write it, review it, and edit other people's work.
- Participate in exercises that teach them how to tell a story, and how to make a telling argument.
- Discuss each person's planned 1,200 word piece.
- Participate in writing, presentation and editing sessions.
- Engage in group discussions and give constructive feedback regarding each others' work.
The tutor, Jonathan Neale, is a senior lecturer in Non-Fiction Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and has published seven non-fiction books and four novels. His background includes a degree in anthropology and a doctorate in social history.
