Film Studies Students Launch Line Up Film Festival for Bath
19th January 2010
Line Up is a one day film festival that will take place in Bath on Friday 30 April 2010. It is being organised, launched and run by a dynamic team of third year Film Studies students at Bath Spa University. During the festival, seven films will be screened over three venues in Bath city centre: the Little Theatre, the Odeon and the Chapel Arts Centre.
A short-film competition is also being run as part of the Line Up Film Festival. It is open to all Bath Spa University students and residents of Bath (amateur film makers only). Eight finalists will be screened on the evening of the Festival before a judging panel that includes Andy Batten-Foster - former producer of Top Gear and a previous panellist for the BAFTAs.
It is hoped to establish the Line Up Film Festival as a regular event that also ‘gives something back’ to a related community project. The intention is for all of the profits to be donated to a local charity or project that benefits young people through film. To help achieve this goal and maximise the profits, we are seeking the help of local businesses to sponsor the event.
Sponsorship of a film is just £100 for which we can offer advertising of the company logo and name as a major sponsor on the Festival’s website, brochure, tickets, posters and at any other marketing events leading up to the Line Up Festival.
We are happy to accept any other donations towards the running of the Festival, for which inclusion in the list of sponsors will be offered.
To express your interest in becoming a sponsor of the Festival, please contact Susan Cherrett, Business Support Manager, 01225 875556 / s.cherrett@bathspa.ac.uk.
