Colston Hall is a leading South West based concert hall situated in Bristol with an impressive 140 year history. Many of the world’s greatest entertainers have performed on its stage to audiences of up to 2075 people. Artists include The Beatles, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and The Rolling Stones to name a few.
12 students have the opportunity to attend a guided tour of Colston Hall followed by a question and answer session with the halls director, Graeme Howell. Find out what it’s like to run a large live entertainment venue and the skills required to make it a success such as venue and events management, artist management, front-of-house, production management, marketing and public relations.
This bookings is mainly suitable for students studying Creative Music Technology, Commercial Music, Theatre Production, Arts Management , Graphic Design, Graphic Communication, Creative Writing and Publishing however other students are also encouraged to sign up if it is relevant to their career ambitions.

A rare opportunity has been set up for SIX art and design students to visit Ellen Bell’s studio for a talk with her about how she set up her practice and approaches her work. Available for Bath Spa University students only.
If you are studying an art and design subject at Bath Spa University and thinking of starting your own practice, this visit to Bath Artists’ Studios will be an opportunity to get some tips and advice on creative and career development from an experienced artist.
Ellen's current work is informed by the nature of language, and, in particular, its limitations as a method of expressing deep and difficult feelings. Ellen works directly with books, texts and paper ephemera to create drawings, installations and sculptures that pose questions rather than deliver answers about how we communicate within our familial and intimate relationships.
