Industry Mentors Programme
Overview
Bath Spa University's Industry Mentors Programme develops opportunities for students to receive expert advice, guidance and access to business practices from businesses and organisations in their chosen field. It raises a student's sights and broadens horizens in terms of career or learning goals, whilst also developing knowledge, skills and personal qualities that are valued by employers.
The Industry Mentors Programme is flexible and responsive. Each individual mentoring relationship (up to six months) will be different according to the needs of each business and student. The Business Support Office matches students with appropriate business mentors and facilitates the initial meeting between the parties.
Both mentors and mentees are offered a free half-day training session to prepare them for the experience.
Our industry mentors come from all walks of life and types of business environment and we are appreciative of the time and dedication they put in to mentoring our students.
The Industry Mentors Programme contributes to the local community by acting as a catalyst for bringing people together, making networks mutually accessible and developing long-term relationships and follow-on activities with the businesses that join the scheme.
