September Withers, a BA student in creative writing, wanted to gain as much experience in the field of journalism. As she had enjoyed a work placement at the Bath Chronicle, the Industry Mentors Programme was able to arrange for September to be mentored by the Assistant Editor. When September wasn't in the offices writing articles, she was set acheivable tasks to undertake before her next scheduled mentoring meeting. She was also helped to find suitable journalism courses and placements to apply for.
