Creative Writing Experts-in-Residence
Two high-profile writers became experts-in-residence for the Creative Writing Department and have added an additional level of support, curriculum enrichment and industry expertise that benefits both students and staff at Bath Spa University.
Marcus Sedgwick is author of 16 books for children and teenagers and is well known for the dark themes in his young adult fantasy books. Robin Mukherjee has twenty-five years' experience of script writing for art house cinema, mainstream British television, radio and theatre.
Marcus Sedgwick as Author-in-Residence and Robin Mukherjee as Writer-in-Residence offered tutorials with students and also collaborated in holding joint masterclasses. Selected students were also offered six months mentoring by the writers through the University's industry mentors programme.
